Anantrao Pawar College of Engineering and Research is situated in nation’s education hub, Pune and recognized for its quality education and research. It is the institute of Akhil Bhartiya Maratha Shikshan Parishad, Parvati Pune 09, an educational trust was founded by a team of renowned educationists and social reformers. The institute is situated in the area of 10 acres of land surrounded by beautiful landscape of Sahyadri Hills of Western Ghat nearing to famous Parvati Hills. The institute is established in 2012 having 5 UG and 2 PG courses affiliated to SPPU, Pune. Institute is on creating versatile engineers who can apply their knowledge and skills in any field across the globe. Highly qualified faculty members, well equipped laboratories, extensive industry - academia interactions all serve to make engineering education at APCOER campus a unique and enriching experience.

The city is covering, Engineering, Automobile, Pharmacy besides premier I.T. establishments. The premier industries consist of Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, Force & Bharat Forge and I.T. Industries namely Infosys, T.C.S., Cognizant, Wipro and many more. In addition to theses, numerous small scale industries, opening wide area of employment opportunities to the local people. Besides more and more multinational industrial offices are being set up throughout industrial belt of Pune. Abeda Inamdar Senior College of Arts Science and Commerce, affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University was established with a donation from Mrs. Abeda Inamdar. The College was established in the year 1991-92 with one division each of B.Sc and B.Com. The Arts faculty was added in the year 1992-93 and B.Sc Computer Science was started in the year 1998. In 2001 M.Sc Computer Science began followed by MSc. Analytical Chemistry in 2002. In the very next year, 2003, the college established the Post Graduate Centres in English and Commerce. The expansion of the college continued with the establishment of the Post Graduate Centres in Microbiology and Mathematics in 2004; BBA (CA), M.Sc Analytical Chemistry and Ph.D Research Centre in Chemistry in 2005; BBA and M.A. Sociology in 2006; M.A Urdu in 2010; PhD Research Centres in Commerce and English in 2011 and M.A in Economics and Political Science in 2014.
