Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology was established in 1999 by Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society promoted by a group of well known Industrialists, Businessman, Professionals and Philanthropists with an aim to promote quality education in the field of Technology and Management. Since then, MAIT has grown from strength to strength to emerge as one of the top technical institutes among the private Institutes and has been constantly ranked amongst the top engineering Institutes by DATAQUEST.

The institute began its first batch of 180 B.Tech. students in 1999 and at present, MAIT offers Bachelor's Degree in 5 disciplines of Engineering - Computer Science and Engineering (240 students intake), Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical and Automation Engineering (180 students intake each), and Postgraduate degree in Master of Business Administration (180 students intake). The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

MAIT’s campus comprises of 10 blocks including Admin Block with Wi-Fi connectivity, well equipped modern laboratories, an intellectually stocked Learning Resource Centre with books and E-Resources, Boys Hostel, Gym and Auditorium. To build lasting relations with Industries, MAIT invites industries to join hands in fulfilling the social responsibility of imparting industry relevant technical education and training. Its alumni have also distinguished themselves through their achievements in and has been contributing significantly to industry, academics, research, business, government and social domains. The institute continues to work closely with the alumni to enhance its activities through interactions in academic and research programmes.

In the age of globalization role of sustainable technology, development is very crucial for the progress and well being of a nation. Keeping this in mind at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology Delhi, we are committed to create young, dynamic Engineers and Entrepreneurs. MAIT also understands that the primary role of education is to equip students with the technical knowledge and confidence for the transformation of society. In addition to providing students with content knowledge, education helps instil values and attitudes that align with those expected in a society. We strongly believe in academic excellence and do not compromise in discipline and standards of teaching. MAIT has also set specific objectives and planned activities for achieving excellence in all spheres of technical and Management Education.

Computer Center administers and manages the entire Campus Computer Network which includes Departments (Engg. & Management), Main Administrative Building, Library and Hostel. The centre possesses 21 number of servers and 40 HP intel core i3 (6th Gen.) based computer systems. The centre is fully networked through high-end intelligent MikroTik, HP and CISCO routers and switches, and possesses round the clock 250 Mbps Internet Leased Line (OFC) and 24 Mbps RF Link for the OFC and Wi-Fi connectivity for the academic, administrative and hostel blocks of the campus, with internet facilities on all the nodes. Computer Center provides Web-based Email that enables all the users to access their mailbox from anywhere (inside or outside MAIT) via the Internet, an institute wide directory service (DS) and centralized cloud storage to every faculty and staff for personal use. It is encourage to use free and open source software like GNU/Linux distributions. Computer Center manages DNS, Website, A-View, Mail and FTP Server and special purpose softwares license servers i.e. Matlab, ProE etc.

The Institute is well equipped with four floors of library with an approximate seating of 350 students. The library forms an excellent blend of books covering the course curriculum, magazines, journals and beyond the curriculum reading material along with the availability of the Digital Library. The library area is equipped with the Wi-Fi facility on all four floors to cater for the access of online study material for the benefit of students.
