The West Bengal University of Health Sciences has dedicated this website www.wbuhsexams.in for the purpose of publicising all the activities related to examinations, including entrance examinations. Activities are mainly centered on hoisting of Information Booklet, filling up forms, monitoring of sequence of events for the candidates intending to appear at a particular examination, generation of admit cards and publication of results in various forms at the time of entrance examinations. Examination schedules in respect of Academic examination for both theoretical and practical examinations, downloading of admit cards and information relating to publication of results for all the academic courses pertaining to regular and supplementary examinations will also be made available at this website.
West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) was set up by an Act of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in 2003 for better management of the health and medical education related courses which were until then taught separately by the University of Calcutta, and the Universities of Burdwan and North Bengal. All the courses have been brought under one umbrella to help upgrade the level of teaching in the state.
West Bengal University of Health Sciences was established in 1st of January 2003 with the purpose of ensuring systematic and proper instruction in different fields of medicines like speech therapy, physiotherapy, laboratory technology, dental education, pharmacy education, nursing education, unani system, ayurvedic system, homeopathic and modern system of medicine and other paramedical courses, which includes prosthetics-orthotics and occupational therapy. The university is also planning to introduce several new courses in the field of medicine.
