Christ Mba Approval: Christ College is the first institution in Karnataka which is accredited by NAAC followed by re-accreditation rating as A+ level in the year 2005.

Programs: Christ University has four Management Programs and here are the details:

1) MBA (Christ University): This is the flagship program of the College. The MBA program which many students aspire is spread across 6 trimesters (two years). You have a choice of 4 specializations to opt for in this program, they are: HRM, Marketing, Finance and Lean Operations and Systems (LOS). You have to choose your specialization in the very first trimester unlike other MBA colleges which is a great idea as students would be focused right from the beginning of the course. HRM specialization is available only in the Main Campus while the other 3 are available in both the campuses.

2) PGDM (Christ University) and MBA (Wuerzburg – Schweinfurt University, Germany).: They call this the German Program in Christ which is a PGDM awarded by Christ University and an MBA from Wuerzburg – Schweinfurt University which happens through transfer of credits. Students would do 1 trimester in Germany and 5 in Bangalore and 40% of the classes are taught by German faculty. Now this German University is mainly into applied sciences and I fail to understand how much value it can create into a Management program. The global rankings for this University are not great either. I would suggest you do some solid research on this program before opting for it.

3) MBA International Business: This Program called the Singapore Program which is an MBA Program (6 trimesters) which specializes in International Business (Marketing and Finance). The degree is awarded by Christ University and a certificate is provided by Learning Capital which is an Institution with courses on Child Care and Childhood education. This time I really fail to understand what value Learning Capital can offer for an MBA program in International Business. However students would spend 4 weeks in Singapore for their summer internship which happens after their 3rd trimester.

4) MBA Executive: Now this is a 4 Semester (2 years) Program for working Professionals with a minimum work experience of 2 years. Classes are held from 6:30-8:30 pm from Monday through Friday. I shall discuss more on this Program on my future posts dedicated to Part time MBA.

Christ MBA (Bangalore) is very good for MBA. The 2 years of hard work and effort that you put in will definitely have a very positive impact on your life as a whole. The placements are great, the placement cell is extremely proactive and very much friendly. The trimester system is highly competitive and is on par with grade A colleges of India.

Christ University, the name speaks all, one of the best university to be a part of. Amazing experience here with new learning & in depth knowledge of various relevant topics. There is an radio channel of the college itself where news, circulars & notices are being circulated.

To be a part of Christ University, the student has to appear for CAT/MAT/CMAT or XAT exam & secure the qualifying marks required for this college. A score of more than 70%ile is usually preferred.I did land up in this college because of my good score in MAT examination & also because of the reputation & placement record of this college since past few years. Yes there was a group discussion round followed by a personal interview, after clearing which you are taken in to study at Christ University.

The fees of this college is quite affordable & in a budget keeping in mind the facilities & the quality of education that is being provided here. The fees for 1st year students is 375000 INR & for the 2nd year is 360000 INR. For the whole course of two year you have to pay a sum of around 8 lakhs which includes the cost of dress being provided by the college, library facilities & other amenities of wi-fi & computer labs.

The placement since last few years has been amazing, with a track record of 100% placement. Renowned companies like HUL, Dabur, Amazon, etc visit the campus & recruits students from here. The average package being offered is 6.5 lakhs & the maximum package offered this year was 14 lakhs till now.

College has a special department to look into these matters. The experience of internship was just amazing for the students as they got to experience the thing that were being taught to them in the classroom & they were able to implement them in real life. Prepare for Christ University Bangalore GD

There is absolutely no preparation required for the GD . But u have to remember the following points

Make sure that u are aware about the current situation in politics ( current affairs)

Develop your communication skills . If you are already good at English then it's not a problem

Try to make your point during the discussion . To be precise make sure the panel members and the judge have listened to ur voice and point

To be frank , once the GD starts people will start shouting . My suggestion is let them fight , listen to thier thoughts and pitch in ur opinion at the right time

Remember it's not about how much you speak . It's about how valid your input is

You can also try being the driver of the discussion . If you think the discussion is out of the topic you can guide them saying that we are deviating . This will fetch you additional points

You can be a time keeper . Keep a check on time and if you think that the group is not reaching a conclusion on the topic , you can let them know that you are running out of time and the group needs to come to a conclusion . This will fetch you additional points too

In terms of the topic , it will be mostly about current affairs ( expect topics about : demonetisation , India china army standoff , privatisation of Air India)

Students say the dress code is discriminatory – the rules are heavily biased against girls. In the main campus, it’s shirts and trousers with belt for men and cotton churidhar or salwar and knee-length kurtas for women. Wearing a dupatta is compulsory

No clapping, hooting and cheering in auditoriums. If caught, identity cards are taken away and the student is asked to meet the Dean

There can be a bandh in the whole state, but Christ University will conduct classes. Thankfully, attendance is not compulsory for all, only students living within a 3km radius have to attend

Christ University has its own penal code. Students who are late for sports practice – which starts at 6:30 am – are fined Rs 20. If students, including girls, don’t attend a session, they are fined between Rs 30-40

Security guards decide whether a late comer can enter the campus, while rules suggest that students will be allowed to attend class without attendance

Earlier, students were not allowed to remain in the hostel if they were sick. Now the rule has been removed, but if students are to stay out, their parents have to fax a permission letter a week in advance to the hostel in-charge
