IILM's Centre for Teaching, Research & Learning (CTRL) is one of our Centres of Excellence housed within IILM University which was launched in July 2018. The mission of CTRL is to serve as a unique intellectual space for educators at all levels. Our panel discussions and trainings conducted by experts with established credentials from India and abroad focus on issues related to both school and college teaching. While we recognize the importance of skill acquisition for educators, we also believe that our workshops should also raise important issues like global trends in tech which affect not only our teaching practice but also our lives and the world in which our students are being socialized. Thus, CTRL will continue to offer sessions on shifting trends in global education, the impact of technology on pedagogy and content delivery. Specific topics include : new trends in pedagogy, syllabi creation, tech integration, classroom strategies, module planning, digital learning, flipped classrooms and hybrid courses, the use of educational Apps, and a wide range of soft skills which are key for educators, counsellors as well as, administrators. An important focus of CTRL is to create conversations among educators to engage with cutting-edge concepts like Design Thinking, Emotional Intelligence, AI and Robotics, and how all of these will affect the world of 'work' tomorrow for the students of today!
