International Management Institute - IMI, Delhi

Nestled in the Qutub Institutional Area, International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi was established in 1981 in collaboration with IMI Geneva (now IMD Lausanne). IMI, New Delhi is India’s first corporate sponsored business school established with the support of corporate houses like: RPG Enterprises, Nestle, ITC, SAIL, Tata Chemicals, BOC and Williamson Magor. Over the last 35 years, the Institute has grown in its stature nationally and globally for providing high quality management education. This is evidenced through the Institute’s International linkages with UNDP, World Bank, ILO and UNCTAD.

IMI, New Delhi’s flagship two-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme (launched in 1993) incorporates student exchange programmes with leading international schools such as ESC Rennes, France, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany, Grenoble Ecole de Management, France, Louvain School of Management, Belgium, Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, China, KEDGE Business School, France to name a few. Besides its regular PGDM programme, IMI, New Delhi runs a two-year PGDM programme in Human Resource Management (PGDMHRM) launched in 2006, a two-year PGDM programme in Banking and Financial Services (PGDM B&FS) launched in 2014, a 15-month Executive PGDM for mid-career executives (Executive PGDM) launched in 1984 and a Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) launched in 2011. In addition to this, IMI, New Delhi also offers ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Co-operation) programmes, as it is one of the few Institutions empanelled by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Under the aegis of MEA organised special Commonwealth Assistance Programme, 15 international students are selected into the Executive PGDM Programme. IMI also conducts many short duration ITEC programmes with various management specializations, targeted at developing countries from the Afro-Asian, South American and SAARC region. Another distinguishing feature of IMI, New Delhi is its strong Alumni network of over 5000+ professionals at senior management levels in leading corporate houses.

All IMI, New Delhi’s long term programmes are approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. IMI, New Delhi is internationally accredited by Association of MBAs (AMBA), UK and most of its PGDM programmes are nationally accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). IMI, New Delhi conducts a large number of Management Development Programmes (MDP’s) every year, which include Open Programmes, specially designed In-company programmes and Online programmes in different functional areas. IMI, New Delhi has a state of the art computing facility for the students on campus. The Tata Chemicals Computer Centre has five servers (IBM, HP) with latest Windows Server operating environments. The campus has a network of more than 400 computers, and is Wi-Fi enabled to ensure mobile computing at all locations including hostel rooms, amphitheater and canteen. The campus has a 200 mbps, 24-hour high-speed internet connectivity. IMI Campus has two exclusive high-tech computer labs. These computer labs are equipped with more than 100 (HP) computers having latest technology for on-line classes and practice sessions. High-speed laser printers and Color Laser Printers are available for printing purposes. The software library includes latest software like Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Visual Studio, E-views, MS Project, SPSS, MSDN Academic License, Quick Heal End Point Security Server Client Editions, SAP, Corel Draw, Photoshop etc. Entire IMI, New Delhi campus is enabled with Wi-Fi which uses Ruckus Indoor & Outdoor Access points with Wi-Fi Zone Director Controller 3000 Series. The IMI Campus network is protected with Cyberoam 500ing – Application based firewall with fall- back technology. Online assessment software is installed on the network to facilitate grading, online feedback, online quiz, and online attendance. For the purpose of viewing student performance, the staff, faculty members and the students themselves have been provided with login id’s, through which they can access the network based software, at any location within the campus. Each faculty member is provided with a Sony Vaio laptop and a LaserJet printer to ensure that their best gets delivered to the students. All research associates, secretaries, library, accounts and administration staff is provided with an Intel Pentium based personal computer.
