Institute of Professional Studies And Research (IPSAR) – started as an endeavor in 1988 by Dr. R.N. Misra – a visionary educationist of Orissa in the field of Management and Cost Accountancy.IPSAR has now the pride of having three campuses in the heart of Cuttack city – CDA with a build up area of more than 125000 sq ft.IPSAR, a premier B-School operating in Eastern India at sliver City Cuttack, got recognition from AICTE in September 1993. IPSAR has an approved intake of 120 for its Full Time MBA programme and an intake of 60 seats for its Part Time 3 year MBA programme for working executives under affiliation to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology(BPUT).

Institute of Professional Studies And Research (IPSAR) – started as an endeavor in 1988 by Late Dr. R.N. Misra – a visionary educationist of Orissa in the field of Management and Cost Accountancy. The institute was formed as a Society under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and continues to be governed as a society. Late Ranganath Mishra, Former Chief Justice of India became the patron of the institute and helped the Institute in getting the first approval from The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), under the chairmanship of Prof H.K. Khanna. Eminent personalities like Mr B.B.Rath Senior Advocate, Orissa High Court, Mr L.N.More senior Chartered Accountant joined as co-opted members while Mr J.K.Misra, Chartered Accountant became a full time member.

The institute has now a sprawling campus of 50,000 sq ft for under graduate complex at Satichoura, nearby to the CDA campus that grew up to having 40,000 sq ft of built-up area. The institute is know well known for its junior college imparting +2 Science and Commerce, and under graduate courses BBA and BCA apart from its flagship brand of MBA degree having 120 seats and MCA with 60 seats. It is now affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology for its PG programs and also approved by AICTE, affiliated to the Utkal University for its BBA and BCA courses, and affiliation of the Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) for +2 Science and Commerce the total intake per annum moving to 750.

The society at large is changing fast. Be it business, education, ethics, moral values, culture everything is changing at a rapid pace. Old practices, cultures and values are giving way to new ones. People everywhere want to be part of the change revolution. Over the last years apart from telecommunication the biggest change has happened in education. No longer the age old institutions offering conventional education continue to play dominant role. The reins have been taken over by private institutions more particularly institutions providing technical and professional education. New technology demands human resources to be well trained and qualified.

Conventional class room sessions and learning from text books are being replaced by e-learning and field training. Nevertheless the importance of good institutions having the requisite infrastructure, good teaching faculties, amenities, and environment and above all offering a combination of classical and modern teaching pedagogy is fast getting an edge. IPSAR is one of such few old institutions which have the enriched experience of providing such educational needs in its sprawling campuses at Cuttack. Established since 1991, IPSAR offers professional courses that puts the student well placed in the market be it for further career enhancement or making them worthy of good job.
